Byron Bay Writers Festival
From July 5th - 7th, the town plays host to the Byron Bay Writers Festival. According to their website, "The Festival takes place over four days at the beginning of August each year, and includes everything from dinners and lunches to interviews and panel discussions all set in the wonderful surrounds of Byron Bay.
Held each year in Byron Bay, the Festival attracts the cream of the Australian writers who mingle with audiences in the specially created Festival site."
Be sure to book early to make sure you get tickets to see your favourite authors and media personalities. Each year, 20000 plus people converge on Byron Bay to attend the festival.
Due to the huge success, accommodation gets booked out quickly - so be sure to book as soon as you decide to come! Look out around May for the festival program to be released.
