If you haven't worked it out by now, Byron Bay is one of the most beautiful areas in the entire country. Byron is truly now an international destination, with tourists from every corner of the globe making it high on their 'must see and do' list. Byron is an ecclectic mix of alternative, surf, pasture and forest. The original Bundjalung name for Byron Bay was (and still is) Cavanbah - an Arakwal (members of the Bundjalung nation) word meaning "gathering place". |
